Cowlitz County History Challenge is proud to present the first annual event theme of “Blast
from the Past” on May 2, 2020 in the Lower Columbia College Student Center. This is going to
be an exciting and competitive way to promote and educate the public on our wonderful past.
There are so many historically significant events that happened right here in our backyard,
and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to promote this to a new generation of our
citizens, as well as challenge our local history buffs.
All proceeds for this event will be distributed equally between the Cowlitz County Historical Museum Education Fund and the Lower Columbia College Student Success Fund. Cowlitz County Historical Museum Education fund brings local history education into our community grade schools and middle schools providing students with knowledge about the wonderfully rich background of our county. The Lower Columbia College Students Success Fund assists college students who may be struggling financially with an opportunity to remain in classes and finish their degree.
